Fall/Winter 2017 Beauty Picks

If you’re getting your list of presents to buy the beauty junkie in your life (or maybe just to treat yourself) this holiday season, here are some of the products I’ve loved lately. You’ll see a general trend of natural products that are as toxin-free as possible. Trying to get those chemicals far away from here!

*Note: I was gifted samples of some of these products in exchange for review. All opinions are mine! Affiliate links are also included in this post.

Nubian Heritage Shea Butter

As the temperatures drop, this shea butter has saved my skin from extreme levels of ash. Nubian Heritage is a great line overall - I actually use their Indian Hemp and Haitian Vetiver deodorant already. The Fragrance-Free & Sensitive Skin shea butter and body wash are enriched with organic fair trade shea and cocoa butter to gently soften and condition irritation-prone skin. The duo is formulated with Aloe Vera that naturally hydrates while Vitamin E, high in antioxidants, helps to protect against signs of premature aging. Thanks, Nubian Heritage for the sample!

Bare Essentials

Being on TV has me rethinking the makeup I show up to the studio with! I’ve been using the new BAREPRO Performance Wear Liquid Foundation (SPF 20) in Pecan 18. This foundation provides 24-hour full coverage that’s heat-, humidity-, water-, and sweat-resistant. Plus it’s non-acnegenic, non-comedogenic: will not clog pores or cause breakouts, hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested, oil-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, fragrance-free - and never tested on animals. And yes - there’s NO flashback!

Kari Gran Winter Skin Rescue

My favorite Seattle skincare brand is offering up the perfect hygge beauty gift! The Kari Gran Winter Skin Rescue package contains the Essential Balm, Bath Soak, and Bath Oil. After your relaxing and luxurious bath, massage the Essential Balm into your skin focusing on the eye area, and wake up with super soft and hydrated skin!

Molton Brown

This luxe little Coco & Sandalwood lotion sits on my desk at work, and is such a nice treat for my hands & arms during the day. Blended with Filipino coconut fruit extract, jasmine, sandalwood, and honey-derived complex, this light body lotion is enriched with a skin-pampering complex to instantly firm, hydrate and energize tired skin.

BeYu

BeYu sent me a few essentials to restock my everyday makeup arsenal this fall, and I truly use each of these daily! The Velvet Mat Foundation is perfect for daily wear, and the eye base & smoothing lip base are the primers I didn’t know I needed in my life. This lipstick and that bronzer sit on my desk at work for touchups. BeYu is also paraben-, fragrance-, and cruelty-free. You can find BeYu at Target or your friendly neighborhood Bartells!

Lapcos Mist

I picked up the Korean beauty line Lapcos serum mist while staying at The Line in L.A. this summer. They have a Poketo store in the lobby and it’s easily the best hotel gift shop I’ve come across in awhile! Anywho, this mist by Lapcos sprays on super-fine, and can go on before and after makeup. I always make sure to mist after applying makeup to help it set.

Youth to the People

I love this superfood eye cream by Youth to the People! It’s so light and very hydrating. There’s YTTP’s proprietary superfood blend, tried and true aloe, ultra-emollient sunflower oil and an army of reparative vitamins; tripeptide 5 to help improve skin elasticity, and hyaluronic acid to help plump and lock in your skin’s natural moisture.

Gabriel Cosmetics

Gabriel Cosmetics is a Redmond-based(!!!) natural beauty line that’s NPA-certified, vegan, gluten-free, and cruelty-free. They sent me a bunch of stuff in celebration of their new brick & mortar store in Redmond Town Center, and I am living for all of the purple hues this fall! I alternate between these eye palettes on the rare occasion I add some color to my eyelids, and the lip & cheek stain is a mainstay in my purse.

Molly's Suds

One household product on this list worth mentioning! It’s really hard to transition away from so many chemicals in our household products, but we try. I’m now using Molly's Suds detergent. Molly’s Suds - named in honor of the founder’s stillborn child - uses the purest of ingredients to formulate products without carcinogens or known human toxins. They also strive to be good stewards of the Earth and give back to their community. All of their packaging has reminders that their products are safest for even our tiniest family members - vegan, cruelty-free, and safe for all machines!

Vital Proteins

Vital Proteins uses sustainably-sourced, minimally-processed ingredients to create their suite of products that work to help your body boost its collagen production. I’ve been using their Collagen Peptides for over a year now, and have also tried the Beef Liver supplement. I want to try the Collagen Creamer made with coconut milk next!

KNC Beauty

Last but not least, KNC Beauty Lip Masks! I found Kristen Noel Crawley on Instagram via all the beauty editors I follow, and picked up her collagen lip masks at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. These things look crazy but I promise they work! When your lips are feeling dry (especially in these winter months), just put one of these masks on for 15 - 20 mins. and your lips will feel so soft and brand new!
