The FreshWed Diaries: Fresh Faced for the Big Day at Honey Skin Spa

Something that’s important to me every day, but especially on my wedding day, is skin care. I’ll be damned if my skin was anything less than poppin on my big day. I take this very seriously - I drink hella water, take hella naps, take my vitamins, try to stay away from too much sugar and caffeine, and look for skincare products that are as natural as possible.

I wanted to be extra sure we’d be fresh-faced on our wedding day, so I reached out to Honey Skin Spa - the experts in good, natural skin care and home of the best facial I have ever had. They were kind enough to host us for bride and groom facials the week of our wedding - the perfect way to unwind before a whirlwind few days of wedding and honeymoon!

I had Megan the first time I came into the spa, so this time I went with Erin, who has been Megan’s right-hand partner since Honey Skin Spa opened three years ago. An appointment at Honey feels like going to your girlfriend’s house for spa night with the gals. It’s so cozy and despite my best efforts, I fell asleep after a few minutes of conversation with Erin.

Before I dozed off, we talked about derma planing and LED therapy, both of which Honey now offers in addition to their illuminating oxygen and revitalizing Hylunia facials (they also offer REIKI with their rose quartz facial!!!) I feel like I learn something new about skincare almost every day, and both derma planing and LED therapy has me fascinated.

Anywho. Speaking of Hylunia, I am convinced there are magical ingredients in their products because my “best facial ever” lasted a few days longer than a normal facial thanks to Honey and the Hylunia samples I took home. Hylunia’s mission statement is: “To benefit humanity by providing holistic, safe, effective, and easy to use skin care products and protocols. I’m ‘bout it. My skin felt like a baby’s and my husband felt the same way. This was his first facial ever! Honey has set the bar incredibly high for him.

I could wax poetic about how great Honey is all day but I will wrap here by saying THANK YOU for having us, Megan and Erin. You made our faces so fresh for our big day. Now that I have ample time and budget not dedicated to a wedding (LOL) I’m excited to come back again soon!
