Immerse in Tulalip Tribal History at the Hibulb Cultural Center

My first stay at the Tulalip Resort Casino didn’t feel right without a proper immersion into the Tulalip tribal history and culture. Enter the Hibulb Cultural Center, an expansive, interactive hub that serves as a community gathering space and tribal education facility. As a Seattle native, I’m a little embarrassed of how little I knew about the Tulalip tribes and how much impact they have on the Pacific Northwest! I’m grateful to the Hibulb Cultural Center for allowing me to come in and learn. I highly recommend a visit of your own there sometime!

In Canoe Hall, entering the main exhibit

In the main exhibit area, you can learn about the natural resources the Tulalip tribes used and harvested for food, clothing, shelter, and everything in between.

The Tulalip Tribes, like all American Indian tribes, function as a "nation-within-a-nation."

The stunning cedar Longhouse, where you can hear stories from tribal members.

Canoe Hall

The current temporary exhibit highlights the Tulalip Indian Fair of 1915 - 1927.
