FJ @WWDMAGIC: The MAGIC Market Week Recap
/Hi everyone! I had the most amazing week in Vegas last week for the MAGIC Market Week tradeshows, where I had the honor of joining bloggers from around the world to cover the shows. I was on the WWDMAGIC blogger team, focused on contemporary and junior women's clothing, accessories & swimwear. For those of you who may not be familiar, MAGIC Market Week takes place every February and August in Las Vegas. Fashion buyers come in from all over the world to pick and choose amongst the brands you know and love (and some you don't know you love yet) for the things you'll see in your favorite stores and sites in upcoming seasons.
In addition to making the most wonderful new blogger friends, I got to see the top trends buyers from all over the world were into. It was the prime opportunity to discover new designers & brands, while also catching up with some of my favorites. I tweeted, Facebooked & Instagrammed my face off while also contributing daily live blogs from the show floor over on The WWDMAGIC Blog. We also hosted the WWDMAGIC Social House in the concourse of the show floor, where every day we spoke on panels around social media, our favorite show picks, and trends we saw for this upcoming season.
I got to sneak away from my duties for a bit to check out Pool, PROJECT, ENK VEGAS & The Tents @ PROJECT, all over at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. This is where all of the independent and progressive designers and brands hang, and it was such a treat meeting all of the up and comers there too.
